How will my child contribution be spent?
Contributions are used on programs that focus on individual needs.
This way it is possible to provide essential benefits to individual boys and girls.
Through your support the City of Refuge will be able to provide education, health care, food and clothing.
Funds from sponsors are not sent directly to the child.

How long should my sponsorship last?
You have the opportunity to sponsor a child until the age of 18.
However you may discontinue your sponsorship at any time.

May I choose the child I want to sponsor?
Yes. If you do not have a preference, you are also given the option
to sponsor a child where support is needed the most.

May I communicate with the child I sponsor?
Yes. You may write to the child you sponsor as often as you like and your child will write to you.
Your words of encouragement will make a big difference to the child.
Please note that all letters sent to your child will be screened by the City of Refuge Staff.

It is likely that we will not receive it, as it is not AGWM policy to forward mail to the mission field.

May I send gifts to my sponsored child?
Yes. You may send gifts to your child for special occasions.
Individual monetary gifts are sent to the child's savings account.

If you want to send a package to the City of Refuge, we ask that you contact us prior.
We will have you send the package to one of the teams headed our way, as receiving mail is often costly.

Are my contributions to the City of Refuge,
including my sponsorship support and gifts, tax deductible?
Only contributions to the City of Refuge sent to the Assemblies of God World Missions are Tax Deductible.
