We believe prayer is the key to everything that is accomplished at the City of Refuge. We can build new facilities and buy material things for the children, but God is the only one who can heal their broken hearts. We need the Holy Spirit to work out on a daily basis what needs to be accomplished in the lives of these children. The Following are our prayer needs: Emotional Healing of the Children. Many of these children have been abandoned, abused and neglected. It's not just their bodies that need a touch; their spirits, minds and hearts do as well. Strength and Wisdom for the Directors. Steve and Kim constantly need the help of the Holy Spirit in all they do. They need God's direction at all times as they work with these delicate gifts the Lord has brought them. Strength and Wisdom for the Staff. Each member of the staff needs your prayers daily. Additional Staff. At this time, we need additional teachers. Please pray that the Lord will send us the right people for these positions. We need Special Education Teachers and House Parents Financial Support for both Homes. This is a costly operation. Funds are needed, particularly at the New Vision Home. Pray that God will speak to people's hearts to give to this worthwhile, life-changing ministry. Expansion of the Homes. We are presently involved in building programs at both homes. We need both finances and workers to complete these much needed projects.
